This is a slipcast pedestal bowl made from porcelain. There is raw clay showing on parts of the exterior. Besides our blood red glaze, the exterior was brushed with black stain. It was reduction fired to cone 10 in our gas kiln. There is subtle color and texture on the piece. This is one in a new body of work exploring slipcast objects.
