Summer Open Studio returns for a second summer at Maine Prairie Studio. It is a 10 week session, from June 12 through August 19th.
Open studio access is designed for individuals who would like to use our studio outside of our scheduled classes. Individuals should sign up for open studio access if they wish to work independently, but still have studio and kiln access. No instruction is included with the cost of open studio. You are welcome to come as much as you would like within our open studio calendar.
Open studio hours Summer 2023:
June 12- Aug. 19th
8am- 8pm Monday - Saturday. Fridays open until midnight!
Open studio will be unavailable for a few days over the summer because of studio events. These days will be marked on the open studio calendar.
Registration includes access to our common tools, pottery wheels, ware racks, slab roller, slips, and glazes. No clay or firing space is provided with the registration fee. Clay can be purchased in our studio. Firing costs will be calculated based on the number of 12 x 24 shelves used by each individual in our cone 10 reduction kiln. The cost per shelf is $25.
