This is a wheel thrown bowl made from wild North Dakota clay. There is raw clay showing on parts of the exterior. Besides using North Dakota clay, a high iron clay slip from Grand Marais is brushed on the exterior too. . It was reduction fired to cone 10 in our gas kiln. There is subtle color on the piece as well as a white carton trap shino glaze.
