Our studio has a relaxed atmosphere where people with all different skill levels can come together to learn, be creative and have fun. As a part of the experience, we are offering open studio availability for both current students, and individuals who are not taking a class. Registration for open studio passes goes live at 9am CST on Nov. 16th.
For current students:
General open studio hours, available for all registered students:
These open studio hours are included in the cost of the class. If you are registered for a class, you are automatically able to use these hours. Open studio hours start on Jan. 27. You are welcome to use open studio as much as you would like during your class session, but we will have an online sign-up to ensure wheel availability.
- Mondays - Thursdays: 3 - 9pm
- Fridays and Saturdays: 10am - 5pm
Extended open studio passes:
If you are a current student and would like more open studio hours than the times listed above, you can register for extended open studio hours. Extended open studio hours are available at an additional cost of $50 for enrolled students in our five week classes and a additional cost of $100 for our ten week classes. The extended hours are:
- Monday - Thursday, 8 am - 9pm
- Friday and Saturday 8am - midnight
Open studio access only:
Open studio is also available for students who are not currently enrolled in one of our classes. Our open studio passes are designed to serve a range of needs for individuals who would like to use our studio outside of our scheduled classes. Individuals should sign up for an open studio pass if they wish to work independently, but still have studio and kiln access.
An open studio pass costs $100/month and you can pay for a month at a time or up to a full year. The open studio pass includes access to our common tools, pottery wheels, ware racks, slab roller, slips, glazes, bisque and glaze firing. You will receive a brief orientation to the studio, but instruction is not included. Clay and firing fees are not included with the open studio pass.
Additional firing costs may be incurred depending on the amount of work made. Firing costs will be calculated based on the number of 12 x 24 shelves used by each individual in our cone 10 reduction kiln. The cost per shelf is $25.
Open studio access will begin on February 1, 2024. The open studio pass gives you access to the studio during the extended open studio hours:
- Monday - Thursday, 8 am - 9pm
- Friday and Saturday 8am - midnight

We are offering a new option this winter, open studio drop-ins. This pass does not include instruction, but individuals may use wheels and other equipment in the studio.
