JD and Megan are wonderful artists and teachers who ensure a positive and educational wood firing environment. I have fired with them 6 times and will continue to go back for the community, education, and of course, the beautiful wood fired pots. Every firing is different, and you’ll find different gems in every kiln load.

Wood firing the Roci was fun and fulfilling. It's the perfect size. You get the feeling that comes with a small, intimate firing, but the kiln is big and exciting so you get the camaraderie of the larger team effort. The results were colorful, with a huge variety of colors and textures ranging from heavy ash drips to light ash dusting, and also lots of clay flashing. Highly recommend this kiln for all levels: beginners, intermediate and experts.
