Functionality meets fun in this simple box design. You will learn how to throw a slab, cut and assemble a box using a template. Suitable for ages 7 and up.

This two hour hands on box workshop will be led by Nina Nabizadeh. They will give a artist talk on their work and teach participants to make a simple box.

Participants will learn how to throw a slab, cut and assemble a box using a template. The event will be from 10 am - noon. This workshop is free and open to the public. Please register for this event to reserve your spot.

About the artist:

Nina Nabizadeh is a first generation Iranian-American in Southern Vermont. They are an art educator and ceramicist with an MA from Umass Amherst and BA from Marlboro College.
Their work seeks to integrate pattern, color, and memory. They enjoy sewing and growing flowers in their spare time.

Nina is a resident artist at Maine Prairie Studio for the month of July.
