Awards and Honors
Minnesota State Arts Board
We are thankful to have been awarded artist grants over the years from the Minnesota State Arts Board.
We are excited to share that:
JD Jorgenson is a fiscal year 2024 recipient of a Arts Education grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
JD Jorgenson will offer a series of in person ceramic education classes and workshops for a variety of experience levels. These offerings will be for new and returning audiences.
Sringboard for the Arts
We are honored to announce that we have received fiscal sponsorship from Springboard for the Arts through Incubator, their Fiscal Sponsorship Program. Being a fiscally sponsored project means that we can receive tax-deductible grants, donations, in-kind donations and matching donations.
Many of you already support us in a wide variety of ways; we are so grateful for the ongoing support we have received from family, friends, students and patrons. We hope that you will consider making a tax deductible donation at this time to help with the next step in our journey.
Maine Prairie Studio is a sponsored project of Springboard for the Arts, a nonprofit arts service organization. Contributions on behalf of Maine Prairie Studio may be made payable to Springboard for the Arts and are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
We also accept In-Kind and Matching donations. Please consider making a tax deductible In-Kind donation or a Matching donation to Maine Prairie Studio. We are particularly in need of more wheels, but we also would welcome clay, tools, bats or other ceramics studio materials or equipment. Please contact us by email or phone with any questions you may have about our studio or making an In-Kind donation or Matching donation.
Central Minnesota Arts Board
We are thankful to have been awarded a 2024 Project grant from the Central Minnesota Arts Board.
CERAMIC ARTS COMMUNITY WORKSHOP SERIES
Starting in June, Maine Prairie Studio will host a series of ceramic arts education events and experiences at our Kimball studios. The series provides a variety of ways to engage with and learn about ceramics, including artist talks, artist demonstrations, and hands on workshops. These events occur monthly, and are free and open to the public.
