This is a wheel thrown salt cellar made of porcelain. It is a heft to it and is meant to sit on your counter or other places to hold things. Place salt or other spices in it and take a pinch as needed. There are many other uses for these pieces. The interior was scooped out while the exterior has black stain brushed on the surface. The interior is glazed withour white carbon trap shino and reduction fired to cone 10.
