2026 Pottery Classes


Maine Prairie Studio offers small classes with personalized instruction. In 2026, there will be five week and ten week sessions in the spring, summer, fall and winter. New for 2026, we have all our classes posted for the year! Click on the images below to see registration and class dates/times, class descriptions, experience levels, cost. 

Maine Prairie Studio is a fiscal year 2026 recipient of a Arts Education grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

I LOVE my Prairiewares set, I have the dishes, mugs, tumblers, bowls and dessert plates. I couldn’t decide on one color, so I asked if I could choose 4 different colors for my set of four and they said yes. They are beautiful and I love the uniqueness of each piece. Gas Kiln firing fees

The gas kiln firing fees are a great bargain. I'm a potter without a kiln and I fire my work at Maine Prairie Studio. Very reasonable rates and able to use glazes and slips!

Winter handbuilding

The 10 week handbuilding class with Megan was informative and fun. I learned many new skills to incorporate into my handbuilding projects. Megan and JD have years of experience that they share with students in a friendly atmosphere.
